The Oktigi are a race of small, squid-like creatures first seen in Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Overview
The Oktigi are a race of squid-like creatures first seen in the game Stranger's Wrath and are one of the few members of the taxonomic Octigi Family. Little is known about the history of the Oktigi species, but what is known is their uncanny ability to control the bodies of potential hosts by latching on to their heads.
The Oktigi are remarkably similar to their Glukkon relatives, not only in their affinity for fine suits and expensive cigars but also in being driven solely by personal interest and corporate greed. It is the Oktigi's sole purpose in life to amass as much power and Moolah as possible, privatizing coveted natural resources and destroying whatever species get in their way.
Anatomy and Physiology
Oktigi are small and octopoid in appearance, having bulbous heads, squinty eyes, and four tentacles lined with rows of suction cups (evident by the scars left on the Olden Steef's face). The Oktigi appear to be naturally aquatic but can survive on land with the aid of a host body. Oktigi are parasites, taking control over a host body by attaching themselves to their victim's head (essentially replacing it) and using the victim's body as their own. They seem to prefer the strongest host body possible, often hunting down creatures like the powerful Steef for the sole purpose of using their bodies as a means of locomotion. Though only one is currently known, the Oktigi seem to have a long history against the native inhabitants of the Mongo River Valley, evident through the various rock paintings and wall reliefs that depict amrys of Steefs and Grubb Nativesfighting against a single Oktigi.
The only notable member of the Oktigi species is the illusive Mr. Sekto, owner of the Sekto Springs Dam and the "Big-Boss'' of the Mongo River.

Notes
- The way that an Oktigi takes over the host body is very similar to the Headcrabs from the Half-Life series. However, unlike headcrabs, the Oktigi are sentient and do not feed on the flesh of their host.
- In Concept art a creature called a Hextigi is depicted. The Hextigi being the Oktigi's six limbed relative.
- It is often theorized that the logo for the Magog Cartel depicts an Oktigi but this is unconfirmed.
