Synopsis (Manga)
Ooharai Arc
Ebisu and Takemikazuchi arrive on Tamatsuki in search of the Crafter's grave. They encounter Satō and his family in a tiny shack on the island. Satou greets them and explains that he is the 73rd Grave-Keeper of the "Mask-Maker", who had saved them from a young man whom the law had failed to judge. He begins to tell the story of the Mask-Maker, an orphan found by a wandering missionary who was on a journey into death.[1] Satou's telling of the Mask-Maker's story is interrupted when Ebisu and Takemikazuchi feel the sudden disappearance of a name. Ebisu prompts Satou to continue his story; he goes on to state that even though the Mask-Maker cheated death, his luck eventually ran out but he was able to legitimately come back to life.[2]
