Synopsis (Manga)
Bishamonten Arc
When Mineha first appears in the story, she is a spirit being chased by a flock of ayakashi and crying out for help. She is rescued and named by Bishamonten. However, since she has been blighted, as a vessel she takes the form of a cracked (rather than intact) hand mirror. When she is welcomed to their estate in Takamagahara, Mineha cries out of gratitude and relief.[1] Mineha looks concerned when Kazuma announces to the Ha clan that Bishamon has been blighted by one of them.[3]
After the Ha-clan estate is invaded by ayakashi, Mineha and Fumiha hide together in what appears to be a storage room. Mineha suggests that they run to the estate's natural springs. Fumiha, having given up since all her friends were dead, says that it's pointless to try escaping, and that Mineha should just leave without her. Mineha tells Fumiha that she doesn't want her to die, and convinces her to flee just as a phantom breaks into the room. They are followed by it until they reach the springs, where a number of Bishamon's other shinki are waiting.[2] Mineha is also shown in a flashback when Kugaha refers to Bishamon's perceived flaw of taking in "worthless trash". Bishamon later uses Ruha to save Fumiha and her other shinki from the ayakashi.[4]
