Momo (
Appearance
Momo is a young man who appears to be in his late teens or early twenties. He has brown hair in the shape of a bowl cut, as well as large, round glasses. He also wears a suit and tie. While being dismissed by Yato, he is seen wearing a down jacket over the suit and carrying a black shoulder bag.[1]
Personality
Momo seems to be a very polite person, demonstrated by how he doesn't make complaints or show any hard feelings toward Yato after being dismissed from his job.[1]
Synopsis (Manga)
Stray Arc
Momo is first introduced as Yato is in the process of naming him. Once Yato sees that his vessel form is a pair of ¥100 scissors, he tells Momo that he isn't well-suited for the job of defeating Father. Momo bows to him, says that he'll look for a position elsewhere, and thanks him for his time.
Later on, Momo returns suddenly, running to Yato and calling out for help. As Yato turns to greet him, he realizes that Momo is being pursued by a large ayakashi. Yato attacks one of them, but isn't able to exterminate it by himself. Momo hides behind him until Yato runs off to distract the group of ayakashi. While they're separated, Yato realizes that Momo is still dealing with the largest ayakashi of the group. Yato names Kazune, and they save Momo from the remaining ayakashi, most notably the one that has Momo pinned to the ground underneath its paw. Yato lands on top of a nearby telephone pole, while Momo shouts his thanks from the ground below.[1]
Skills & Abilities
- Vessel Transformation: As Yato's shinki, Momo's vessel name was Hyakki (
百 器 ). He took the form of a pair of ¥100 scissors.[1]
Trivia
- His general physical appearance is similar to Kazuma's, though it seems that Momo's hair is a slightly lighter color.
- His name (
百 , Momo) means "hundred". - It is assumed that Yato released Momo since he did not summon Hyakki against the ayakashi, nor did Momo draw a borderline to protect himself.[1]
