The Subeil (スベール Subēru) is a machine that was stolen and modified by Dr. Wily, appearing as enemies in Mega Man 5. Subeil are divided into three segments, with something akin to an antenna on their topmost apex-like segment. When Mega Man gets too close to their territory, Subeil will become flat and slide toward him to damage him. Subeil does not stop at a ledge during the charge attack, falling down.
Appearances
They appear in Stone Man's stage and Charge Man's stage, in Mega Man 5, Mega Man IV, and Mega Man for the Game Gear.
They also appear in Crystal Man's stage in Mega Man IV.
Etymology
Subeil's name may be derived from 辷る (suberu, to slip).
