Gyro Man's Stage is a stage that appeared in Mega Man 5 that has Gyro Man as the boss.

Appearances

Mega Man 5

Gyro Man's Stage takes place in a hanging garden high above the air, held aloft by propellers and giant corkscrew platforms. When first entering the stage, Mega Man gets on an elevator that rises high into the sky, and drops him off where the action begins. Overall, this is a combat stage and features a multitude of enemies. There are some gimmicks here and there, the first of which being 3 spinning platforms in the Cocco room. They remain stationary in the air until the player stands on one. Once stood on, the platform will move in a predetermined path (different for every platform), stop once it reaches the end of its path, and then fall down offscreen. Mega Man also spins in place while standing on them, unable to shoot. There is one room that has green collapsing platforms, unique to this stage, arranged together in a row. Once stood on, they wait a second before falling straight down into the pit below, and can be particularly troublesome because of the Kouker Qs and the letter's placement. One final gimmick, unique to the stage, lies right after in a second elevator. It is much slower than the first one and does not accelerate, but there are spikes on the ceilings and you have maneuver the platforms to avoid getting crushed as the spikes come down on you. Beating this stage will additionally reward the player with Rush Jet.

Valuable pickups to look out for:

  • 1-UP: After the Cocco is this pickup, inside a slide gap. Simply inside to grab it, but be careful as the Cocco will respawn and immediately start attacking you when you come out, even if it was defeated earlier.
  • A/K Plate: In the room with the collapsing platforms, this letter rests under one particular platform, and is one of the more challenging letters to collect as you need to stay on the platform just enough so you can grab it and jump immediately afterwards. If you're too slow, you will fall into the pit, but it you're too fast, you won't get the letter.
