Swallown

Swallown (スワロン Suwaron) is a bird robot enemy in Mega Man 4 that was originally built for aerial patrol. It is found only in the rainy areas from Toad Man's Stage in Mega Man 4, Mega Man IV, Mega Man (Game Gear), usually with Rackasers. It has a simple design of a cartoon bird with a rocket booster on the back, and its main attack is swooping down when getting near to Mega Man and firing off its children, Coswallowns, from the back towards Mega Man before retreating. Usually it's smart to not fight it, Mega Man's best bet at destroying it is Rain Flush or Flash Stopper to stop and fire at it if it's low enough.

Coswallown

Coswallown (コスワロン Kosuwaron) are smaller "babies" of a Swallown that follow them and dive at Mega Man when he is spotted. They have the same rough design as a normal Swallown with same rocket boosters and such, but have a smaller hitbox and usually Mega Man can't hit all of them before he's hit of they're off-screen, though Ring Boomerang or Flash Stopper are good ways to stop them or destroy them all at once, or Mega Man can even use Rain Flush if he has enough time.

Other media

Swallown and Coswallown have a brief appearance in the manga Mega Man Megamix and Rockman 4.
