Mini Paint Stars are items in Paper Mario: Color Splash.
Description
Mini Paint Stars are the goal for every level, each having at least one, but some levels have more, serving as alternate exits. Mini Paint Stars are scattered across Prism Island, and Mario must find them all to obtain all six Big Paint Stars. When obtained, they repaint a new area in the world map and unlock a new level, or an alternate pathway to an existing level. Collecting a Mini Paint Star also comes with rewards dropping from the sky. This includes paint, coins, and sometimes life hearts and roshambo tokens. The coins from this reward increases if more enemies were defeated. Mini Paint Stars have a larger counterpart known as Big Paint Stars, which are obtained after a Koopaling boss fight.

Mini Paint Stars are generally found as a whole. However, Sacred Forest's Mini Paint Star is scattered into five Paint Star Pieces, and Mario has to gather all of them to combine it into a Mini Paint Star.
