Goomba Mask

A Goomba Mask is an item that appears in Super Mario 3D World.

Description

Goomba Masks sometimes appear after the player has defeated a Goomba. They can be worn on the player's head allowing them to disguise themselves as a Goomba. This also makes the player hardly noticeable.

Trivia

• Goomba Masks should logically lose their function if their wearer attacks an enemy, but this does not occur.
• There is a similar transformation that Mario can encounter in Super Mario Bros. Wonder whenever he triggers certain Wonder Effects; as a result of one effect, Mario could be transformed into a Goomba.
• A paper-machê variation appears in Paper Mario: The Origami King. When Paper Mario wears it, he pretends to stumble drunkenly. Olivia then laughs at his antics.
