The Fire Extinguisher is a Thing in Paper Mario: Color Splash. After rescuing all members of the Purple Rescue Squad and returning to Ruddy Road, climbing up the hill will reward Mario with the fire extinguisher thing. It can also be bought from the Wringer for 300 coins.

Battle Card
If the Fire Extinguisher Battle Card is used in battle, the setting transforms into a blazing city. It flies in towards the building, pulling its own pin on its nozzle. After breathing in, it let's out all of the CO2 contained within it. This weapon is effective against all onscreen enemies. Once all enemies are extinguished, the setting is no longer blazing. It then flies off screen, causing the setting to return to normal.
Crimson Tower
The Plunger is used at the Indigo Underground to free a Rescue Squad member and enter the stage.
Use
Reaching the top of the tower reveals Morton, who has already found the 
Big Paint Star. Mario will fight through his first phase using his Battle Cards in his inventory to defeat his first phase. After Morton reaches half health, he will transform his hammer into a flamming hammer. This new hammer will deal massive damage and defeat Mario on his next turn. Using the Fire Extinguisher thing will extinguish Morton's hammer. After defeating him, Mario will complete the stage after obtaining the Big Paint Star.
