Crazy Cars is a microgame which first appears in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. It reappears in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! and WarioWare Gold. A variation of Crazy Cars also appears in the WarioWare, Inc. stage in the Super Smash Bros. series.

Crazy Cars is a microgame part of Wario's Intro Games set. The object is for Wario to jump over the vehicle moving toward him from the right; this can be either a potato car, a sausage car, or a light blue shark car, selected by the game at random beforehand. If Wario gets hit by the vehicle, the player fails at the microgame.
In the second difficulty level, the vehicle has a different behavior of stopping at Wario shortly before it continues moving. Wario has to jump right when the vehicle continues moving, because if Wario jumps with the same timing as in the first difficulty setting, he touches the car and the player loses the microgame.
In the third difficulty level, the game randomly selects between one of a few behaviors for the vehicle:
- The same behavior as in level 2.
- The car jumps shortly before it is about to drive into Wario. This is the opposite of the usual condition, because if Wario even jumps, he touches the vehicle and loses. This can be telegraphed by the command text reading "Dodge?"
- The vehicle stops moving and then drives in the other direction, so Wario does not need to jump to save his skin from being hit. This is telegraphed by the command text reading "Dodge?"
- The vehicle is miniature, and only bounces off Wario if it touches him.
- The vehicle stops and does nothing afterward.
The probability distributions for behaviour are summarised in the following table:
Difficulty Level | Behaviour | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Normal Driving | Stop | Jump Over Wario | Flee | Miniature | |
1 (Easy) | Guaranteed | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
2 (Hard) | 5/8 | 3/8 | 0 | 0 | 0 |
3 (Expert) | 3/8 | 1/4 | 1/4 | 1/16 | 1/16 |
In the end cutscene for Intro Games, the shark and potato vehicles from Crazy Cars make their way out of the boombox in which the microgame set took place. They zoom back and forth briefly at the miniaturised Wario, until Wario makes his way back into the Boom Box that he got trapped in (at which point they stop moving, suggesting they may be sentient) and then launches out at his normal size and lands on them.
WarioWare: D.I.Y.
An editable minigame based on Crazy Cars, titled Crazy Car, makes an appearance.
WarioWare Gold
Crazy Cars is one of the Mash League introduction microgames. The main objective remains the same, although a few changes were made to the microgame itself. Aside from one of the three vehicles as before, three more variations were added, including a light bulb car, a door car, and a teapot car. In the level 2 difficulty, if the door vehicle appears, it stops moving and opens to release another car at Wario as a projectile. If the player allows the miniature car to strike Wario, the achievement Road Rager is attained.
There is a mission named Road Rager in which the player has to allow for a miniature vehicle to crash into Wario. In doing so, the player earns a prize of 300 coins.
In Wario World
Crazy Cars is one of seven microgames included in Wario's demo microgame set from WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, titled WarioWare, Inc. trial ver. 1. Crazy Cars and the other microgames within the set can only be played on the Game Boy Advance via the Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance Link Cable.
Crossover appearances
Super Smash Bros. series

A variation of Crazy Cars is one of the microgames featured in the WarioWare, Inc. stage, introduced in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and later returning in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
When the microgame starts, a warning sign is displayed on either the left or right to warn about the incoming vehicle from either side, something that does not occur within the original microgame, as the vehicle can now come from the left. The vehicle varies between being either a shark, a potato, or a sausage, just as in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. Its behavior usually consists of driving straightforward, like in the microgame's first difficulty level, but it sometimes does a jump like in the third difficulty level. If the latter occurs, the fighters can avoid the vehicle by either having it jump over them or by being slightly below the upper blast line, where the vehicle cannot reach them. Any fighters who dodge the vehicle win, but those who do not lose.

Trivia

- A precursor to Crazy Cars, titled "JUMP," originates from Mario Artist: Polygon Studio, as one the minigames playable in Sound Bomber mode. Instead of Wario, the player controls a regular character, and the object headed toward them is whichever model they are currently working on. The gameplay is essentially identical to Crazy Cars on level 1, and the vehicle does not have any varying behaviors like in levels 2 and 3.
- The door car is the only Crazy Car that never moves after it stops; instead, it launches another car as a projectile.
