A Bronze Power Star is a form of Power Star that appears in Super Mario Galaxy 2. These stars serve as a replacement for regular Power Stars, and are only obtained when Mario uses the Cosmic Guide.
Description
Hence the name, the Bronze Power Star is a bronze-color. If Mario is unable to complete a level, the Super Guide will show up. If Mario opts to let the Super Guide finish the level for him, Mario will not obtain a normal Power Star, but a Bronze Power Star. Bronze Power Stars prevent Mario from unlocking Green Power Stars, even after he has collected all 120 stars. To remedy this, he must complete the levels he collected a Bronze Power Star from.
