Summary
While Sinbad is frustrated with Alibaba, Arba massages Sinbad's shoulders and assures him that Alibaba is not a significant threat. Sinbad replies he can see the flow of destiny and Alibaba reminds him of an inexperienced young idealist who thinks he can save everyone. Sinbad states he will let Alibaba do whatever he wants since Kou Empire will end up being bankrupt.
In Rakushou, Alibaba introduces his Imperial Army's strategist. Yet everyone knows who the masked man is, much to their pain that they cannot refer to him by his true name. Koubun tries to assert his status by having Koumei call him master. Alibaba asks Koumei about his secrets. Koumei reveals that they have a magic research facility where they conduct research into magic and dungeons. Koubun realizes Hakuryuu had been funding this facility because it would be helpful in the future and it was divided to be undiscovered.
Underground, the scientists are overwhelmed with joy and greet Koumei. Koumei thanks his men and women for their hard work. The scientists report on their progress with communication devices, dungeon creatures, Household Assimilation team, and talismen. Alibaba is amazed at their accomplishments and thinks this level is more advanced than Magnostadt.
When Alibaba asks about the heaven Trigram Talisman, he touches a body which roars at him. Koumei explains it is to revive the dead. Koumei's reasons along with the men and women's reactions on how honorable it is freaks out Alibaba. Koumei also explains they started to research magic because of its usefulness in revolutionizing war. Koumei regretted not starting their research much earlier. Then, a scientist arrives with results that could help Alibaba transport goods.
