The Witness was a crook who was paid by Placidi to bear false witness and lie that he saw Andrea del Verrocchio murder Antonio Costa.
Biography
Placidi paid the Witness after he killed Antonio Costa. The Witness then told the Magistrate that he had seen Verrocchio do it, leading to his arrest. (Framed)
The Witness was confronted by Leo, Tom and Mac on the way to court but he laughed in their faces leading to Tom attacking him. Signor da Vinci intervened and sent the Witness off to court where he smugly told his lies. However, after Piero de' Medici called off the revenge, he presented a signed confession from the Witness, admitting it had been lies. Piero reveals the Witness killed himself because of the guilt, but it is presumed Piero had him killed. (Perspective)
Personality
The Witness was a horrible man with no morals, condemning an innocent man to death for payment. He showed no remorse for his actions.
