Donnola was a thief who, along with his master Nazario, attempted to steal the Medici Sapphire from the Medici Bank. Under the guise of actors, they put on an elaborate play, The Shepherd of Love to as facade to allow them the opportunity and means to access the vault.
Biography
Donnola and Nazario acquired the help of Leonardo da Vinci and Lisa Gherardini to paint the backdrop for their play, in honour of Lorenzo de' Medici and Angelica Visconti. However, this was all an elaborate facade to give them the means and opportunity to steal the invaluable Medici Sapphire from the Vault. Donnola played Harlequin, the king's servant. When Leonardo discovered this, Donnola handcuffed inside the vault. He then attempted to do Leo's part as the shepherd Virile but the crowd did not take to him. Lisa then rescued Leo and after a heated confrontation onstage, Leo revealed the truth to Lorenzo, Nazario and Donnola were arrested and jailed. (Diabolical Acts)
