Alberto

Alberto was a violent thug and leader of a vicious anti-Milanese mob. The cousin of Placidi, he was paid by Piero de' Medici to rile up tensions in Florence against Milan, and lynch any Milanese citizens.

Biography

Albert and his thugs were responsible for a number of attacks on Milanese businesses and were harassing a Milanese shopkeeper, Carla Rossi, and her granddaughter Lucia. When Lucia stood up to him, he tried to attack her but was disorientated by Leonardo da Vinci who used a Catapult to fire pollen from a wild flower. Enraged at having been challenged, Alberto then led his mob on a vicious witch hunt across the city, calling Lucia a spy and for her to be killed.

Alberto later went to the Medici Palace where he met his cousin, Placidi, who hinted that there was more to the situation than meets the eye. Alberto urged Placidi to tell him as Piero watched. Piero then told Placidi to pay Alberto before telling him to keep filth out of his living room.

When Lorenzo de' Medici unwittingly alerts Alberto to Lucia's location, Alberto and his thugs confront him but he stops them from entering. Alberto later finds wanted posters of his face, made by Verrocchio, calling him a spy. Machiavelli warns him to back off but Alberto and his men attempt to beat him but are interruped when they see Lucia. They pursue her and Leonardo to the tower but they escape using the Wings. When Alberto comes down, his own mob see the posters of him and turn on their leader. Alberto runs and tells Placidi who tries to stop them but they don't listen. Placidi watches in horror as the mob grab Alberto and kill him. (The Fugitive)

Personality

Alberto was a bullying thug who was glad to exploit the situation of the death of the Duke of Florence into an opportunity to attack innocent people from Milan. He was extremely vicious and violet, leading his angry mob to lynch anyone who stood up to him. He could also tell his cousin, Placidi, was hiding something and was curious to know what. Alberto's violence eventually caught up with him, as he was hoisted by his own petard and killed by his own mob.
