Nazario

Nazario was a thief who, along with his henchman, Donnola, attempted to steal the Medici Sapphire from the Bank. Under the guise of actors, they put on an elaborate play, The Shepherd of Love, as a facade to allow them the opportunity and means to access the vault.

Biography

Nazario and Donnola acquired the help of Leonardo da Vinci and Lisa Gherardini to paint the backdrop for their play, in honour of Lorenzo de' Medici and Angelica Visconti. However, this was all an elaborate facade to give them the means and opportunity to steal the invaluable Medici Sapphire from the Vault. When Leonardo discovered this, he attempted to tell everyone, but Nazario threatened Lisa's life, forcing him to back down. Playing the king, Nazario put the sapphire in his crown and intended to make off with it. However, Lisa rescued Leonardo who used his shepherd's crook to take the crown of Nazario's head. Using a sword, Nazario overpowered him in a gripping showdown, but was demobilized by Leo's quick thinking. As Leo revealed the truth to Lorenzo, Nazario and Donnola were arrested and jailed. (Diabolical Acts)

Personality

Nazario was extremely camp and theatrical on the surface, supposedly an incredibly passionate and devoted thespian. However, deep down, he was calculating and ruthless, prepared to kill anyone who got in his way. He was also, in many respects, highly intelligent, planning such an elaborate and inventive heist, and a competent actor who seemed extremely comfortable on stage.
