Kina

Kina (キーナ) is a minor character in Legend of Legaia. She is a young girl who lives in the underground caverns of Octam and knows just about everyone in town. When the Ra-Seru heroes arrive she offers to lead them to Hari's Palace of Meditation.

Appearance

Kina looks very similar to Vahn in appearance - perhaps even more than Vahn's sister Nene. She barely reaches Vahn's navel and seems to be around 5 or 6 years old. Kina has long blue hair tied in a ponytail and large bangs in the front of her head. Her dress is red in color with a yellow ring around the top. Matching her red dress are dainty red shoes.

Personality

Kina is a somewhat hyper child and rather impatient in nature. If she offers to take Vahn to see Hari and he continues to make detours without following her straight away she will become highly irritated and continue to pop up randomly and yell him. If Vahn speaks to just about everybody in the Mayor's house before following Kina back outside she will corner him by the bottom floor and perform the Vulture Blade technique on him - smacking him to the wall and briefly knocking him out.

Story

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. (Skip section)

Early Life

Almost nothing is known about Kina, despite her being a named character. She appears to be younger than ten years old, meaning she was born within Octam's underground and had never known the world above. Kina seems to be a devout follower of Hari as with everyone else in Octam.

Legend of Legaia

"Hari is awake! I hope he'll give us a prophecy that'll help us save the town!"
—Kina to the Ra-Seru heroes

Kina is first met by the Ra-Seru heroes after they witness an earthquake take out a house and a pillar in the underground city of Octam. She can be avoided completely, but if they opt to speak to her she will state matter-of-factly that the earthquakes are a regular experience around there but at least nobody died.

Seeing that the heroes are new in town she asks if they arrived to see Hari, and if they confirm she will lead the way to his Palace. However, Hari cannot be spoken to until they speak with the Mayor. After Hari and his priestesses are killed in another earthquake caused by Xain, Kina expresses her sadness and continues to look in the depths below where Hari sunk to his death.

Powers and Abilities

Kina is a small child but she packs quite a punch regardless. She is somehow able to perform Noa's Hyper Art, Vulture Blade (though without the wind effect).

Trivia
