Purpose is the second full-length album by Taeyeon. It was released on October 28, 2019 with "Spark" serving as the album's title track.
The album was originally set to be released on October 22, 2019 but was postponed until October 28 due to the passing of Sulli.
A repackage was released on January 15, 2020.[1]

Events
An exhibit of images of the album was held in South Korea:
- In Seoul at Gana Art Hannam, from October 22 to 27, 2019,
- In Busan at YES24@F1963, from October 23 to 27.
The exhibit is described as "present[ing] audience not only [Taeyeon's] capacity as a vocalist, but to understand and appreciate her as a maturing artist, with diverse aspects of herself."[5]
Merchandise
In November 2019, following the release of the album, exclusive Purpose merchandise was made available for sale, at SMTOWN &STORE shop and online store, and on specialized retailers' websites.[6][7]
