Background

On August 8, 2024, SM Entertainment announced that Taeyeon would be coming back with her sixth mini album in the fourth quarter of the year.^[1] On October 28, Taeyeon announced the mini album Letter To Myself, scheduled for November 18.^[2]

Composition

"Letter To Myself" is a pop rock genre song that combines melodic guitar sounds and lyrical yet explosive melodies. The lyrics are a sincere letter from the current speaker to her past self who hurt her.^[3]
