INVU is the third full-length album by Taeyeon. It was released on February 14, 2022 with "INVU" serving as the album's title track.
"Can't Control Myself" was released on January 17, 2022 as a pre-release single for the album.[1]
The physical album comes in four versions: Tape, Envy, Blue and Orange.
Background
On February 4, 2022, SM Entertainment announced that the highlight clips that were scheduled to be released from the 4th to the 10th had been postponed due to video quality issues.[2] The highlight clips were posted on February 9[3] to February 12.[4]
INVU : The Exhibit was held on February 7th to February 14th to commemorate the release of Taeyeon's third full length album. The exhibition consisted of photos and videos related to the album.[5]
Composition
"INVU" is described as an intense and ardent love song.[6] It's a house-based pop dance song with soft and dreamy synth sounds and impressive flute melodies in the chorus. The vocals in the song deeply express the different emotions contained in the song: along with the high notes that help tell the storytelling more dramatically.[7]
Commercial performance
The album achieved #1 on the iTunes album charts in 23 different regions around the world. It was also #1 on China's QQ Music digital album sales chart. The song "INVU" won two monthly charts as it got number one on both the digital and streaming chart on Gaon.[8][9][10]

On February 7, 2022, official merchandise was made available in person at the INVU : The Exhibit and online through the SMTOWN &STORE.[11][12] Additional merchandise was made available on April 13, 2022 through the SMTOWN &STORE.[13]
