Debut's Plan

Debut's Plan (데뷔 계획) is a survival show. It premiered on March 14, 2025 with the goal of forming Starship Entertainment's new boy group, NewKids.

Background

On July 8, 2024, it was announced that Starship Entertainment will launch an audition project called NewKids on the STARSHIP that will form their newest boy group four years after CRAVITY.^[1]

On March 3, 2025, Starship Entertainment opened the SNS accounts of their upcoming boy group NewKids (also NewKids on the STARSHIP) and released the logo motion.^[2] It was revealed through their promotion schedule that the group will be formed through a survival show called Debut's Plan that will first air on March 14, 2025.^[3]

There are a total of 21 contestants but only 7 will debut as NewKids.^[4] All contestants were revealed on March 8.^[2] They will have 5 NewKids7 for each 5 plans, starting from the 1st NewKids7 and ending at the 5th NewKids7. The final NewKids7 will make their debut in STARSHIP Entertainment's boy group NewKids.

Plan 3: Communication

Note: Park Seong Hyeon was absent from this plan.

Plan 4: Expression

Plan 4 was an acting challenge. The Top7/NewKids7 for this challenge will star in their own K-Drama called "Imperfect Game".

Plan 5: Teamwork

For Plan 5, all 21 contestants performed the song "Balla" by NewKids together in one take.
