Fatty Puffer Jr. is an enemy in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. It does not yield a Copy Ability when inhaled.

Physical Appearance

Fatty Puffer Jr. is a spherical green fish. It has a white underbelly, white fins, puffy pink lips, and beady black eyes. Its back is covered in yellow speckles and its forehead is adorned with a gray gemstone. In Extra Mode, Fatty Puffer Jr. is red in color. Its speckles are orange and its gemstone is yellow.

Fatty Puffer Jr. is a minion of the boss of Onion Ocean, Fatty Puffer. The boss spits two green ones out as an attack. The fish flop around on the ground for approximately ten seconds before jumping off-screen. Their movement pattern is random; in addition to hopping slightly left and right, they can jump high into the air or leap a fair distance horizontally, so Kirby should be cautious around them. When Fatty Puffer's health is at or below 50%, it increases the attack's potency by spitting two Blippers with the two Fatty Puffer Jrs.

When summoned by Fatty Puffer EX, Fatty Puffer Jrs. act largely the same way. Fatty Puffer EX always spits them out in groups of three (with a Blipper as well). Their movement is somewhat more unpredictable and noticeably faster. When the boss's health is at or below 50%, he gains the ability to spit Fatty Puffer Jrs. and Blippers when clinging to the cave ceiling.

Traitor Magolor and Magolor's final form can summon green Fatty Puffer Jrs. during their respective battles. Magolor EX and Magolor Soul can summon red Fatty Puffer Jrs.
