Romes Carpent (ロメス・カーペント^?) is the commercially minded head of Carpent Trading.

His superb savvy as a merchant has made his company the best in Obelia Gulf in just one generation, and he expects his son, Cruz, to succeed him someday.

He has a habit of finding business opportunities when problems arise and sometimes argues with Cruz about how a merchant should act.
