The Titan is the overarching protagonist of the Disney Channel animated series The Owl House.
He is a colossal, humanoid being whose corpse forms the Boiling Isles, with his power being the reason why magic exists on the isles. He is the father of King Clawthorne and the person who put the Collector inside his prison thousands of years ago.
The Titan was part of a larger species of the same name, which was fighting a war against a group of gods known as the Collectors and their worshippers, the Titan Trappers. He had to watch as his family died until he was the last Titan left. In a fit of rage, he hid the egg of his last son and trapped one Collector inside the In-Between Realm, despite him being an innocent child. He would then die, but his heart would keep beating, allowing his spirit to exist in the In-Between Realm and watch over his son while he's being protected by the guardian he placed way before being taken under the care of a witch named Eda Clawthorne.
Following his death, life began to evolve on his carcass, with his magic being so powerful all creatures on it would evolve to wield magic. Meanwhile, the muck of a decomposing Titan - possibly the one of the Boiling Isles Titan, although that's unconfirmed - would cause the creation of demonkind. Over the years, this would cause the Titan to be worshipped like a god by the people of the Boiling Isles.
The most powerful part of the Titan is arguably his blood, as it allows multiversal travel and the construction of portals. In the 1600's, a witch named Evelyn would use Titan's Blood travel to the Human Realm, where she would fall in love with a witch-hunter named Caleb Wittebane and bring him to the Demon Realm with him. But while spending time in the demon realm & love for Evelyn made him change his view on witches completely, his younger brother, Philip, who was so caught-up with his delusion of witches being evil, would follow him into the realm thinking he was lured into there by Evelyn, where he would first kill Caleb for "betraying" him and then decide to wipe out all life on the Boiling Isles. During his time on the Isles, Philip would begin finding the Titan's glyphs but sooner or later, the Titan would realise the human's wicked nature and begin hiding them from him to no avail as he eventually discovered all of them through sheer will and some accidental help from a time-travelling Luz.
Over the years, Philip would eventually find the mirror which holds the imprisoned Collector and, with his help, would become the emperor of the Boiling Isles under the name Belos. Under this new identity, he would falsely claim that he can speak to the Titan, who was disgusted by the use of wild magic due to it dishonoring him. Emperor Belos claims that the Titan will destroy all wild magic in an event known as the Day of Unity, which would bring a utopia by merging the Demon and Human Realms into one. In reality, the Day of Unity was merely a cover for a massive Draining Spell, that would wipe out all life on the Boiling Isles.
Hundreds of years after Philip's arrival, Luz would arrive in the Boiling Isles. It's implied that while initially wary of the human thanks to Philip's previous actions, the Titan soon saw Luz's pure intentions and began showing her the glyphs, allowing her to amass all of them in weeks while Philip took years. It's also shown that while watching over his son who would be called King, he saw the kindness Eda and Luz showed him and thus began to show favor towards them.
When the Day of Unity finally arrives, Belos almost succeeds with his plans, only for King to release the Collector from his prison to stop the spell in exchange for becoming his playmate, which he does shortly afterwards. However, the Collector begins to tear the Isles apart in order to play with its inhabitants, forcing Luz and herfriends (with Belos unknowingly in tow) to escape to the Human Realm while King stays behind to ensure their escape. During the Collector's takeover of the Isles, the Titan's skull was cracked in the middle, with some material from the skull used to construct the Collector's home and puppet storage: the Archive House.
Later on, after Belos manages to reopen a portal and enter the Demon Realm, Luz, her friends and her mother Camila follow him in. While in the portal, Luz lags behind slightly and sees the Titan waving at her in the In-Between Realm before she's pulled into the Demon Realm. After Belos possesses a puppetized Raine Whispers and tricks the Collector into thinking Luz, Eda and King want to kill him, the Collector puts the trio into hallucinations of their worst nightmares using their puppetised friends so that they'd "see the error of their ways". Before awakening into this hallucination, the Titan beckons Luz to wake up and escape, which she does so after her girlfriend Amity manages to temporarily break free and help her. While Luz helps both Eda and King break free, the Collector inadvertently reveals to Belos that the Titan is in fact, still alive and thus Belos convinces the Collector to go "play" with the trio while he steals one of the child's stars to travel to his old castle.
Despite Raine's best efforts to dispel him from their body, Belos manages to possess the Titan's heart and, taking on the form of a gigantic dragon, begins covering the land with mold as he possesses the Boiling Isles itself. Luz, Eda, King and a newly redeemed Collector arrive to stop him but the Collector naively attempts to redeem Belos by showing him forgiveness as Luz taught him. This allows Belos to execute a sneak attack on the child, which Luz takes for the Collector and dies. Arriving in the In-Between Realm, Luz resigns to her fate and begins sinking underwater but is rescued by the Titan, who warns her that sinking beneath would mean she truly dies. Luz realises the Titan's identity immediately and shamefully admits she wanted to see the Collector kill Belos, to which the Titan admits that he also banished the Collector in a fit of rage and she isn't a bad person for thinking so. When Luz comments that she and Belos both just want to protect the things they love, the Titan reveals that all Belos cares for is sating his own ego and that unlike him Luz is an actual hero.
However, the Titan notices Belos' mold growing on his chest and realizing his time will soon be up, grants Luz his temporary power to save the Isles. Luz accepts and is encased in a bubble to bring her back to the Demon Realm. Before she leaves, the Titan asks of her to deliver one final message to King before transforming into his skeletal form and sinking beneath the waters, allowing him to pass on. With the Titan's power, Luz and her friends manage to clear away the mold and rip Belos from the Titan's heart, causing his mold to all over the isles to disintegrate.
As Belos reverts to a human form, he pretends to have been cursed and pathetically begs for mercy, causing an infuriated Luz or perhaps the Titan to summon the boiling rains, melting him. With his ruse failing, Belos condemns Luz as being as horrible as the witches if she doesn't save him, to which Raine, Eda and King simply come over and stomp his remains to nothingness, ending his terror for good.
With Belos's threat gone, the Titan's spirit leaves Luz, takes one final look at his son and leaves for the afterlife. With the Titan finally dead, Luz reveals his last words to King: "I loaf you ", causing him to gleefully realize that his father cared about him all along and shared the same sense of humor. Thanks to the Titan's magic dissipating, Luz's glyphs are left powerless, though she manages to find ways to get by and 4 years later, begins to use the glyphs that King is developing. The left arm of the Titan's corpse is also left sticking straight up in the sky in the aftermath of the battle between Belos and Luz.

Trivia
While Belos does eventually confirm he's lying when claiming he speaks to the Titan, it's still unknown if the Titan is truly dead or alive in some way, with him entertaining the thought that the Titan is purposefully hindering him and helping Luz Noceda. This theory is actually proven to be true as in the series finale "Watching and Dreaming" revealed that the Titan is actually helping Luz to fight against Belos, now that he is possessing the Titan’s heart to kill all life in the Demon Realm, while also watching his son King in the In Between Realm.
It's still unknown how the Titan physically died. The most likely option is that he was killed by one of the other Collectors, possibly the Grand Huntsman.
The Titan appears to be genderqueer as he describes himself as both "a king and a queen, the best of both worlds", though seemingly prefers masculine pronouns. Another interpretation of this could be that Titans can reproduce asexually, making the Titan both King's father and mother.
Along with Hooty, the Titan makes a cameo as a skull in the Gravity Falls book The Book of Bill, appearing in the illuminated text of one of the chapters.
