Dan Heng (Chinese: 丹恆) is a one of the deuteragonists and playable character (along with March 7th) from the 2023 video game Honkai: Star Rail. He serves as a deuteragonist throughout the story.
Coming from a race of draconic aliens with the name of Vidyadhara. In his past life, Dan Heng was the high chief of Vidyadhara clan aboard the Xianzhou Luofu known as Imbibitor Lunae. He was a member of the acclaimed "High Cloud Quintet" group, five of the Luofu's prominent warriors founded by the ship's Sword Champion, Jingliu. After an incident which splintered the group, Imbibitor Lunae underwent an incomplete reincarnation and became Dan Heng, who is now a Nameless aboard the Astral Express, where he works as a guard and archivist.
He is voiced by Chunyin Li in Chinese as Ajax/Tartaglia in Genshin Impact, Kim Hye-sung in Korean, Nicholas Leung in English, and by Kent Itō in Japanese.
Appearance
Dan Heng is a young Vidyadharan man who has black short hair, teal eyes with dark red eyelashes, and fair skin, at least in human form. He wears a dark green earring, a white jacket with a left dark green armor, a black shirt with a dark green cover, a right black glove, a leather belt with a dark green topless vest, grey pants with a dark green band, and dark green shoes. In Imbibitor Lunae form, he has dark green hair, a light green horn, pointy ears, a topless white-green shirt, a black fingerless glove with a green sash and gold attachment, dark green pants, a light green-blue rob, a big red ball belt with a seal and attachment, and dark blue boots.
Personality
Dan Heng is an aloof and dedicated young man who has a mysterious past in Xiangzhou Luofu. One moment later, Dan Heng has the worst nightmare fighting a member of Stellreon hunter Archenemy Blade wants to pay his price. Years later, Dan Heng joined the Astral Express to seal the Stellaron and save the galaxy.
Powers and abilities
- Spearmanship: Dan Heng uses Cloud-Piecer to the combat.
- Air Manipulation: Dan Heng can use his Cloud-Piecer to strike with wind.
Imbibitor Lunae form
- Vidyadhara physiology: as the reincarnation of Dan Feng, Dan Heng harnesses the abilities of a Vidyadhara, but can only do it by his will.
- Shapeshifting: as the reincarnation of Dan Feng, Dan Heng can transform either the human form or the Imbibitor Lunae form.
- Water Manipulation: he can use summon with Cloud-Piecer and a Dragon.

- Both Dan Heng and Xiao have abilities of spear wielding and air manipulation.
- Dan Heng sleeping room is compose of Book shelf, Radios, Space Map, and 1 small sleeping set on floor (not even a proper bed).
- When he first met with the Trailblazer, Dan Heng tried to give CPR (which can be see as a kiss) to them, but they awake first. When both of them land on Penacony and Dan Heng go unconscious, player can choose attempt to give Dan Heng CPR, but Dan Heng will wake up first too.
- Dan Heng is the first character in Honkai: Star Rail other than the Trailblazer to release in two forms.
- However, unlike March 7th, these forms are two distinct characters.
