As they are making their way unto the magic school to seal the Magic Sigil, a golem appeared. 
Alfred confidently told them that it is only Lance, he also added that he is made with calm and warm personality and is not hostile. But when Lance started rampaging, they concluded that it might be the cause of mana disappearance, leaving them no choice but to subdue him.

After the battle, Lance regained its consciousness and immediately apologized for the damage he caused. 
Lord decided to recruit Lance by the suggestion of Alfred so that they can keep an eye on him to prevent it from rampaging once more.
