Terrain

A Terrain (or a Tile), is a level element that can be accessed and walked on by units and heroes alike. It is basically what a map is made of.

There are nine types of terrains in the game, one normal and eight special ; firstly and mainly, the normal one which would be the Neutral tile, which doesn't have any effect. The special ones however, being Glacier Glacier, Grass Grass, Deep-sea Deep-sea, Lava Lava, Poison Poison, Swamp Swamp, Thornbush Thornbush and Water Water, each have some kind of a common effect.

Special terrains

Almost all special terrains deal damage to units on top of it when their turn starts, but units with the corresponding advantageous terrain are immuned to this effect.

Each units have one or more 'advantageous' terrains assigned to them. While they stand on any of their special terrain, they gain 20% bonus Attack. They can also freely access the terrain if it would normally be innaccessible.

Grass Grass Green, bushy texture. Everyone. None. +20% attack.
Deep-sea Deep-sea Deep blue and white wavy lines (basically a darker Water Water). Only advantageous units. Damage on turn start. +20% attack. Immunity to terrain damage. Can freely move on Deep-sea Deep-sea and Water Water.

Note: Advantages only apply to units with the corresponding terrain advantage.

Terrain Change

Some units are capable of dynamically changing one or more tiles to another one. See Category:Terrain Change for a list.

If a unit were to move through accessible terrains and was then surrounded by, for example, Water Water, the unit would be stuck, unable to move to any other tile.
