Trogs are a species of degenerated mutants native to the surrounding area of the Pitt, appearing as enemies in the Fallout 3 add-on The Pitt and the Fallout 76 update Expeditions: The Pitt.

Background

A trog is the common name for humans that have reached the final stage of infection with the Troglodyte Degeneration Contagion (TDC). Due to the contagion being endemic to the town, approximately 20% of the populace of the Pitt are highly likely to transform into these feral monstrosities,[1] roaming the ruined streets and wrecked buildings while hiding in darkness and attacking any non-trog entities on sight. Studies by Sandra Kundanika have shown that children born in TDC-active areas virtually have a 100% degeneration rate and become feral within weeks of birth.[1] The severely impacted mental state caused by the contagion has resulted in trogs attacking their former friends and family without mercy.[2]
