The Fact Finder is a non-automatic pistol in Fallout 76, introduced in the Steel Dawn update.

Characteristics

This unique variant of the .44 pistol comes with a stylish bull barrel as well as the two-shot, explosive, and reduced AP cost legendary effects.

The Fact Finder is obtained as a reward for the Mother of Invention quest in the update Steel Dawn.

Variants

• .44 pistol - Standard variant
• Somerset Special - A quest reward for completing Final Departure.
• Voice of Set - A quest reward obtained from Prototypical Problems.
• Medical Malpractice - A Survival mode weekly challenge reward. It is legacy content.
• Medical Malpractice - An updated variant whose plan can be earned from a Daily Ops reward or bought from Minerva. This variant is not a legacy weapon.

The Fact Finder was formerly known as The Troubleshooter until a Public Test Server update changed it to its current name.

Bugs

PC Xbox 360 Playstation 4 Due to an exploit that allowed you to get randomized versions of weapons, this was obtainable before release and is leftover as a level 5 version of the weapon. This weapon cannot be obtained at level 5 in any other manner.^{[verification overdue]}
