This article is about the song from the 2019 remake of The Lion King. For the classic score, see King of Pride Rock.
Remember is a score featured in the 2019 remake of The Lion King. It is a reimagined version of "King of Pride Rock".
Background
The score plays after the final battle against Scar was successful where Scar was eaten alive by the hyenas in a fierce battle at Pride Rock. As the rain arrives to extinguish the fire surrounding Pride Rock, it starts off with a sad melody that plays during the scene where Simba mourns over Mufasa's death. It then loops into the same melody heard from the original version of "King of Pride Rock" where everyone in the Pride Lands praises Simba for returning home, defeating Scar, and saving the Pride Lands thanks to his heroism. When Rafiki tells him that it is time for him to take his place as the new king, the score continues playing where Simba ascends Pride Rock followed by Mufasa telling him to remember who he is and for him to take his place as king. After Simba becomes the new king and roars in triumph, the score then concludes with a variation of "Busa", followed by a reprise of "Circle of Life".
The score is named after the last line which Mufasa tells Simba to remember who he is before taking place as the new king.
