Mobo is a character in the 2024 Disney photorealistic CGI film Mufasa: The Lion King. He is a male yellow baboon who lives in the Baboons' Tree. He is an elder and co-leader of Rafiki's former troop.

Like the other elders of his troop, Mobo is distrustful and suspicious of Rafiki's visions.
Physical appearance
Mobo is an adult, slender baboon. He has tan-tinged brown hair, has a dark grey muzzle, and dark brown eyes. His hands and feet are dark grey.
Role in the film
One night, the elders of Rafiki's troop, including Mobo, declared that a cheetah had climbed into their tree for the third night in a row, this time nearly making off with one of their own. They then placed the blame on Rafiki for having summoned it with his dreams. At that moment, Junia leaped to Rafiki's defense and reminded them of all the times his powers had come in handy, such as the time he had healed Inaki. Despite her protests, the elders called for a vote, and the troop unanimously voted to exile Rafiki.

- Unlike other character names in The Lion King franchise, Mobo is not of Swahili origin but Yoruba (Nigerian), and roughly translates to "freedom."[1]
