The Roc is a recurring monster class in the Disgaea series first introduced in Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories.
Appearance
They are based on the mythologic creature of the cockatrice. They are fatty chickens with a snake wrapped along their necks that acts as a tail. They have tiny wings, a large beak, and long horns on their heads.
Characteristics
They are the result of faulty experiments and were thrown away due to their lack of abilities. They have advanced survival and reproductive abilities that allowed them to ingest the Netherworlds and grow into a full fledged species, despite being basically left for dead. Initially they were treated as pests, but Rocs are now used as soldiers in battle and scrapegoats.
