A trip to the South Pole goes upside down when Team Tennyson lands on the North Pole instead, but Ben quickly discovers the culprits: Solar & Polar Twain, magnetically-powered scientists who want to hold the world ransom by threatening to reverse Earth's magnetic poles![ATV 1]
Plot
As Team Tennyson fly over the South Pole (with the Omni-Copter on autopilot, whilst Ben, Gwen and Max ride in the Rustbucket), Gwen expresses her excitement to see the locale. Ben is considerably less excited, wishing instead to see polar bears in the North Pole. An alarm goes off, and Max returns to the cockpit, only to find its dashboard going haywire. They land the vehicles, but quickly find out they're actually in the North Pole. Excited, Ben looks outside, and sees a tower he takes to be Santa's workshop. He quickly runs outside, but finds himself fighting a disturbed polar bear. As he is about to be mauled, the Omnitrix starts to spark with electricity, and automatically transforms him into Four Arms.
As Max tries to figure out what's going on with the Omni-Copter, Four Arms and the polar bear tangle, with the former losing. However, a crack forms in the ground and swallows the two, with only Four Arms surfacing before reverting back. The Omni-Copter then begins to lift off the ground, to everyone's confusion. Ben then sees two men in elaborate suits, twins going by Polar and Solar Twain, lifting it with their magnetic powers. The Omnitrix doesn't let him transform, though, and he resorts to chucking a snowball at them and missing. Solar explains that the two towers they've installed on each pole will cause all electronics on Earth to fail. Polar contradicts him, stating that it'll instead cause catastrophic weather. The two start to bicker and eventually fight, endangering Max and Gwen. They are thrown aside and crash-land in the snow, but are unscathed.
Polar returns his attention to Ben, and Solar joins his brother. Ben tries again to transform, but nothing happens. The Twain Twins are unimpressed, but they once again return to fighting each other. As Ben makes his getaway, he transforms into Cannonbolt and rolls over to the Omni-Copter. The Twain Twins notice Ben missing, but once more argue over who will chase after him and who will activate the North tower, with both deciding to do the latter. Gwen puts together that the tower is causing everything to malfunction, and Cannonbolt goes to stop the pair. They easily toss him aside, and Solar activates he tower. Polar passive-aggressively congratulates him, and their fighting resumes.
Cannonbolt sneaks into the tower's pit and tackles Polar, only to be hit away by Solar. He lands by the Omni-Copter and reverts back, before shortly transforming into Heatblast. Gwen and Max advise a less direct approach, and he returns to find the twins still arguing. After some sneaking around, he fires at the switch, causing the metal objects in the area, as well as the Twain Twins, to be sucked towards the tower. The tower crumbles as Heatblast retreats to the Omni-Copter, and he reverts back to Ben. As Team Tennyson fly away, Solar and Polar rise from the rubble. They find themselves confronted by the polar bear, and run into the horizon, still bickering.
Cannonbolt: This is what you're in for! Solar Twain: ...And you are? Cannonbolt: Cannonbolt? Polar Twain: Ah! I think it's that kid! Solar Twain: Oh! Is this what your little toy does? Cannonbolt: It's no toy. Solar Twain: Well, you certainly are.

Polar Twain: We agreed I would rule over the northern hemisphere! Solar Twain: I changed my mind! Polar Twain: You have no mind to change!

Heatblast: Didn't Gwen say something about reversing the magnetic something by flipping the positive something with the negative something? Or was that in a movie? Eh, whatever, it's the best plan I got!
