Earth-89

"The multiverse has a way of aligning fates...It's written in the stars and in this book, or I wouldn't know that on this Earth, Clark Kent is Superman. Where I come from, that would be ridiculous. He can't see past his glasses."

Lex Luthor[src]

This article is about the location set in the Tim Burton universe. This article only contains information relevant to the Arrowverse. For information regarding that universe, please see Earth-89.

Earth-89 was one of the many universes in the multiverse.

History

Earth-89 was destroyed by antimatter at the beginning of the Anti-Monitor Crisis.[1]

When the Paragons and the Spectre created the new multiverse, a new universe was created, which is said to be identical to this universe.[2]

Behind the scenes

  • The number 89 references the year the first live-action Batman film was released into theaters in 1989.
  • The Flash of Earth-TUD13 would later get this Earth's timeline mangled with his own in a version of 'Flashpoint', in The Flash 2023 film.

Trivia

  • This is the second-lowest numbered universe of the original multiverse where a universe with the preceding number is not known to exist, with no Earth-88 identified.
