Use is an ability in Among Us, used by Crewmates, Impostors, and Crewmate ghosts.
Overview
Use is the main ability used by all roles, excluding Impostor ghosts, to interact with most objects throughout the map. It is used to access tasks, fix Sabotages, press the emergency button, open Decontamination doors, and open locked doors on Polus, The Airship, and The Fungle. Crewmate ghosts can only use it to interact with tasks.
Use will be replaced by specific buttons when players are near other abilities, such as Admin or Doorlog. Use's keybinds on PC are E and the spacebar, and the keybind on the Nintendo Switch edition is the A button.
If the player has a pet equipped, Use is replaced by Pet when not near any other interactive object.
Trivia
- The buttons for Security and Vitals do not appear on The Airship; the standard Use button appears as normal when near those abilities. This makes it the only time Impostors as ghosts can access the Use ability.
- The button's appearance was changed in version 2021.6.30.
- The button's appearance was changed again in version 2021.11.9.
