The PGZ-95 is a Chinese prototype SPAAG that appears in Wargame: Red Dragon.
History
The original PGZ-95 was not equipped with missiles, and the model in-game is more likely the updated PGZ-04, which has a very similar appearance and is often confused. The QW-2 missile is believed to have made its debut only in 1998.
Overview
Armed with a radar-guided quad 25-millimetre autocannon and infrared guided missiles, one can easily consider the PGZ-95 to be the poor man's Tunguska, being a significantly cheaper option. Compared to the Soviet AAA's fearsome SAMs, the IR missiles are woefully lacking in range, striking power and accuracy. That said, they still have a decent degree of suppression and thereby stunning capability, which can work out well when fighting planes. Most of the PGZ-95's actual killing power comes from its cannons, which are comparable to the twin KDAs used by various NATO AAA units in damage per second. The PLA 25s are moderately effective against fixed-wing aircraft, but it's against helicopters where they really shine, able to eat through a heli rush with ease.
The best place to put a PGZ-95 is in amongst a tank group to protect against helicopters and ward off planes. If adding them to your air defence grid, they are best grouped up with HQ-7s and HQ-61As to provide the best all-around AA coverage. The HQ missiles can ably fend off incoming jets and high-end attack choppers while the PGZ-95 takes care of any scout helicopters that wander too close. Just remember to keep your radar turned off when not in use, else your hapless air defence crews are in for an unpleasant surprise (SEAD Aircraft).
