Paul Cha, better known as Multi-Paul, is a minor antagonist in the Image Comics series Invincible and its animated adaptation of the same name. He is the twin brother and arch-nemesis/evil counterpart of Dupli-Kate.
While he did suffer the same fate as his sister Kate, he deluded himself enough to believe they were taken as weapons by their father when in reality their father was catatonic from the cloning children and they needed a place to stay. While his sister becomes a hero, he goes on to become an assassin for the Order, hypocritically becoming a weapon for them instead.
He was voiced by Simu Liu, who also portrayed Louis Lewis in Jackpot!, Tourist Ken in Barbie, and Harlan in Atlas.
Biography
Origins
Born as the seventh generation of the Cha family, Paul alongside his sister was apart of a curse that stated: "The seventh generation after Cha's seventh grandchild would be burdened with a family too large to care for and it would drive him mad". This curse gave them the ability to duplicate themselves which drove their father mad. They were later be taken in by the Global Defensive Agency to be trained as hero, both of the sibling learned to used their power and fight crime.
However, Paul would rebelled and disproved the government as he believed the GDA were just merely using them as pawns. He would escape the facility by leaving a replicate in his bed. He would later meet Mr. Lui and join The Order and pursuit a life of crime, believing it gives him more freedom than the GDA.
