Root (ルト, Ruto) is the strongest of the Greater Dragons, watching the world from the shadows for thousands of years and can take the form of either a male or female Hyuman. Root is an existence that is treated on equal footing with the Goddess.

Root has the ability to change his/her appearance and gender. In female form, Root is a tall woman with long straight silver hair. As a woman, Root is a high-level beauty that can captivate anyone who catches sight of her. Currently Root looks like a handsome teenage boy.
Dragon
Root as a dragon looks like a golden occidental/western-style dragon with three pairs of wings with different sizes and two blue gems on his torso. He also has a very strong, muscular body. He can stand on his feet, unlike other occidental dragons. His appearance as a dragon is rarely seen because he rarely interacts in dragon form. His dragon's form only appears in old legends.
Personality
They have a very flirtatious and easy-going personality. Root enjoys causing mischief and tends to ignore people who are no longer interesting, even if they are blood related. Despite that, they care deeply for all their children.
Root is rarely surprised due to the many things they have seen in their long life. One of the reasons why they like Humans/Hyumans is because they never cease to interest and amuse them.
In the past, they really enjoyed their first experiences like having children. They were a little overly eager, as described by Rokuya. Over thousands of years they has develop a very kinky, romantic and naughty experience of anything sexual, causing them to be a very perverted individual that can make other perverts in the series look like saints. They have an innate attraction to Japanese Humans, because of their first husband who was a kind, just, and naughty individual from Japan.
Biography
History
Root is one of the two original Greater Dragons, existing long before the Goddess' arrival to the world. He was the one who created the other six Greater Dragons, making them a sort of children to him.
Root once attempted to absorb the powers of all the other Greater Dragons to become a god, an objetive he abandoned after the Goddess settled her power over the Hyumans and Root fell in love with a hero summoned from another world. Because of this many of their children are scared of their presence.
Root is one of the people who built the Adventurer's Guild together with their deceased husband. He also integrated the level system into the world as a way to keep the Hyumans in line by manipulating their greed.
Present
Makoto first encounters Root at his company store in Rotsgard after Root have a encounter with Lime Latte and gets him and Eva Aensland imprisoned by a dark organization. Root introduces himself as the leader of the Adventurer's Guild and after some sexual harassment, explains to Makoto how the guild and levels really work, as well as the traveling between worlds.
After Makoto gets forcibly summoned by the Goddess to save Limia Kingdom, Tomoe, unaware of who actually took her master, assumed that it was either the Goddess or Root. Tomoe, in a fit of rage, mistakenly confronted Root about Makoto's disappearance.
Root would later take care of Sofia Bulga after she was defeated by Makoto, ensuring the reincarnation of the Greater Dragons she killed.
Relationships
- Makoto Misumi: Root perceives him as a new 'playmate', a 'love interest', and a new 'source of fun'. Root enjoys flirting with Makoto in somewhat makes him uncomfortable in hopeless bewilderment. Root will take the opportunity to be alone with the protagonist - sleeping on the same bed with him. Root will do everything in her power to gob him and ravish him in order to produce their offspring. Her obsession increases in a terrifying level after she discovers that Makoto is an otherworlder like the members of the Apple: the Immortal Adventures. As evidence, Root transforms back to a woman once again. According to her perspective, she is overwhelmed in joy and she'll do everything in her power to have sex with him. Her reasoning is as of follows: she finally meets someone amusing to observe, someone she can lean on when she is alone, and finally, someone who will live with her forever.
- Mio: She see her as servant that blindly obeys her master. Due to a silly prank gone wrong fell in love with the various stories of anime and cartoons in Mio's collection, causing them to become an otaku with similar interests with Mio. Loves to make Mio blush or faint by whispering steaming fantasies in her ear.

- Sofia Bulga: Since Root cut all family connections with members of her children's descendants as her blood was strong in Sofia for unknown reasons, it caused Sofia to have a hostile relationship with Root, but it seems like it didn’t bother her. Currently, their relationship has changed due to Root's methods, she altered Sofia memories, and it is unknown exactly how she changed Sofia's appearance.
- Sou Mamoru: Root says that Makoto would appreciate him, and they would be friends because they are alike. "He was a nice guy that you would have liked." Root to Makoto WN 112. Root loved Sou very much and still remembers thier husband fondly.

- Tomoe: Root sees her as servant that acts as an elder of sorts, trying to guide her master. When they discover Tomoe is Shen, they barely recognize her and are startled by her new powers and mindset. Tomoe seems to have forgiven Root for what happened in the past, causing Root to tearfully hug their daughter, much to Tomoe's chagrin. Often makes Tomoe jealous anytime Root flirts around with Makoto.

Powers & Abilities
Root is known as the being who reached the highest pinnacle of magic, techniques and abilities of the other world before the Goddess came to rule it. Both his existence and his capabilities could only be compared to that of the Dragon Futsu, being practically equal in existence and magical power.
As a Dragon, Root has great magical power and abilities, which to certain degrees, are superior to the Goddess, as well as very elevated dragonic abilities and senses, with great strength and a practical immortality far above any being from the other world, which allows him to live forever, unlike the other Greater Dragons, who are reborn in themselves, when they are very old.
Root has not yet been seen to excel in combat in her human form, except for being able to change gender if she wants, and possessing great knowledge and intelligence about magic and things about traveling to other worlds, and knowledge in part of the world of Earth in the 21st century. In his dragon form, Root showed great skill, strength and power enough to defeat beings practically equal or close to him such as the dragon Futsu, and when he was summoned against his will, he was able to give Makoto a strong fight, until being defeated by Makoto, (but without dying).

- Myriad six element combination- Using a combination of all six elements, they can create a yin-yang effect of magic where attack power increases as time goes on, provided the elements are stable. The elements will constantly counteract one another, and requires delicate control, otherwise all expended mana will be wasted as the spell destroys itself. In exchange, the power is unmatched, and can be used for either a buckshot attack in an AoE attack or a single, nigh-unblockable shot that can only be blocked through reverse engineering the combination. May also have other techniques yet to be seen, such as a beam, or a spell in the shape of a weapon.

When one of the buckshots hit the ground, it creates a large pillar of light followed by a huge shockwave.
- Heavenly Dragon's Roar: Really large scale (larger than a big city) roar with the following effect: Coercion, Paralysis, Petrification, Panic, Weakening lvl 5 curse disease, Spiritual ailment lvl 6 curse disease, bodily function decrease, magic power effectiveness decay, etc...
- Mana raw Material: Root acquired the ability to convert and mold her magic into a liquid state that envelops her entire body, in order to protect herself or attack if she so desires. He learned this ability by watching Makoto fight against Sofia, just once, but unlike Makoto, Root can only maintain this state for only 10 minutes, saying that it surprises him a lot and annoys him in part, that Makoto can maintain it and rebuild it continuously.
