Izis ｢イジス, ijisu｣, also known as the Mirror Witch ｢鏡の魔女, kagami no majo｣ is a character appearing in the mobile game, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: ISEKAI Memories.

The alluring witch of the mirror. She stalks Rimuru as her prey, and will do whatever it takes to fulfill her utmost desire. However after escaping and being saved by Rimuru and Shinsha from her creator Cliché she eventually makes amends and even allies with them against her creator.

Appearance

Original form

Izis possesses black hair with two buns and green eyes. She wears a pair of glasses and keeps her full figured concealed by black dress lined with red fur and wears black gloves on both of her hands. The dress also possesses a long slit cut out for her leg which reveals knee length black and white vertically stripped knee socks. A large knot with white stripes is present below her large cleavage that joins the red fur and the slit cut out for her legs. She wears a pair of circular, palm-sized mirrors as earrings, and a necklace shaped like two C's connected at the backs.

Evolved

After assimilating Veldora Against, and whenever she has enough of his Magicules to transform she dons a skin tight like suit shoving her breasts and shows her belly button and shows panty like pants. She has two bull-like horns on each side of her head and two scar slashes in her eyes, and no longer wears her glasses and necklace. She also have larger longer hands that have black and red in them. She has more straight hair. Her socks a black and white with shoes rembling 3 toe bird/dinosaur. She also has shoulder spikes as well.

Personality

Izis is known to be a cunning, albeit an apathetic individual who does not understand the very concept of emotions itself due to her being isolated in the Mirror World alone for nearly her entire life. Her apathy is shown clearly when she is confused when Hyuga and Shinsha call her as their 'mother', with Hyuga even defending her from an attack. She is very cunning and clever, shown how she was easily able to convince Shinsha that she and Rimuru were her parents, and easily manipulated her to perform tasks that were advantageous to her.

Her apathy however, stems from her presence in the Mirror World since her birth. Having seen and hearing everyone's desires from the mirrors present in the Mirror World, Izis only knows that people have idealistic versions of themselves and that they do not want the current identity of themselves.

She greatly detests Rimuru and Shinsha, primarily because not only did they ruin her plan to escape using the Infinity Prison, but even foiled her attempts to capture Rimuru. To Izis, Rimuru is her 'prey', as she puts it, and she wishes to hunt him all for the sake of her own freedom.

Having spent many years within the Mirror World, she considers it as a prison, through which she could only see others and interact with the world (albeit partially) and as such, is more than happy to escape from it. As a result of her time spent in the Mirror World, she seemingly has a habit of speaking to herself.

However after escaping the Mirror World and settling in Tempest she starts to slowly gradually gain emotions following a hotspring bath and eating with Rimuru and Shinsha due to her no longer being isolated in the Mirror World.

Background

Izis was created by Cliché and several Witches from the Witch Village. She was then sealed in the Mirror World by her creator to prevent her harm from those of the outside world so she can hopefully mature and grow strong enough to escape the Mirror World.

Trivia

• Izis and Shinsha were designed by Mitz Vah, the light novel illustrator.
• Izis used to greatly hate Rimuru for many reasons. During their first encounter, when Izis attempted to grant Rimuru their wishes, they wished for many modern items including a toilet and other basic amenities in a house, which caused her to trip. To make things worse, they also wished for their past self Satoru Mikami, which frustrated her since he had no magic or abilities to work off of. The experience left her confused, humiliated and enraged. Moreover, since Rimuru used Predator on Veldora, Izis could not analyze the Infinity Prison as she intended, which infuriated her. However, after allying with them against her creator, she no longer harbors those hostile feelings towards them.
