History

Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie

Welcome to Robotropolis

Sara Excited

One day, Sara and her father became captives by Dr. Robotnik in order for Robotnik to lure Sonic to South Island. After Sonic and Tails leave, Sara amuses herself by playing video games with Robotnik, but kept on losing (which at first resulted in her throwing a fit). After eventually getting tired of video games, Sara wishes to go for a drive and starts throwing a childish strop when Robotnik refuses. At that moment, Metal Robotnik crashed into the Presidential House, and Sara grows excited and demanded that Robotnik give her a ride in it, entering the control panel and playing around.

Sonic Vs. Metal Sonic!!

Later on, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go to the core of Robotropolis, where, after a small series of events, Metal Robotnik appears, eventually crumbling, revealing Dr. Robotnik and Sara in it. Knuckles falsely accuses Sara of being behind this scheme. In reply, she cries hysterically and reveals that "the robot and the machine going haywire were all part of Robotnik's evil scheme," which Robotnik does not deny.

After Metal Sonic appears, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles go to the Ice Caps, where Sara is being held captive for a forced marriage at the North Pole (Dr. Robotnik's main goal in the movie is to destroy the world, leaving only him and Sara to marry and have children together, repopulating the world). Sara is extremely repulsed and angered by the idea of becoming Robotnik's bride, so she screams and proceeds to "scratch" him. Before this, however, Robotnik gifts her with a beautiful wedding dress.

During the fight between Metal Sonic and Sonic, Metal Sonic's head crashes through the bottom of Robotnik's ship, causing him to look up her dress, resulting in Sara repeatedly kicking his head, calling him a pervert. When Robotnik tries to grab Sonic, his ship tilts, causing Sara to fall, but is saved by Knuckles. She thanks him and kisses him on the cheek, causing him to blush and "freeze up". Throughout the rest of the movie, Sara stays with Knuckles and Tails as they watch Sonic and Metal Sonic fight. She also kisses Knuckles again to help encourage him to help her father.

Personality

Movie-Sara

Sara is very feisty and brave, being completely unintimidated by dangerous villains like Dr. Robotnik and Hyper Metal Sonic. Sara has affection for Sonic, often showing concern for his safety.

She has a short temper, often being bombastic and even becoming violent towards people who threaten those she cares about, such as when she attacked Metal Sonic for trying to kill Sonic. At first, Sara came off as selfish and lacking in empathy for others, telling Sonic right in front of her father that she does not care for her father’s well-being and that the only people who mattered to her are Sonic and herself. However, she does care about her father deep down; when the President was in danger of dying, Sara became visibly worried for her father's safety.

She can also be immature and overdramatic, crying hysterically when she kept losing to Robotnik at a video game. Sara also has a degree of intelligence and is not above using her feminine wiles to get her way, such as flirting with Knuckles and kissing him on the cheek to persuade him to help stop the magma from melting the North Pole's iceberg and dooming the Land of the Sky.

Powers and abilities

Sara's human-like body is more physically enhanced than expected.

She is durable enough to survive Sonic's Spin Dash attack while she sat in the cockpit of Metal Robotnik when Sonic passed through Metal Robotnik's belly and fell into the sea inside the mech. Very shortly after, Sara continued to remain relatively unharmed when the broken Metal Robotnik collapsed on her in the Robot Generator room.

Sara has shown multiple times to be physically stronger than Dr. Robotnik, such as threatening the doctor she would stop being his hostage while Sonic was traveling to save the Land of the Sky and one-shotting him with a pipe. Dr. Robotnik, who had survived the same wreckage of Metal Robotnik as her and remain relatively unharmed by the explosion from the Turtle Missile at the end of the film. She seems to have some sort of instinctual scratching technique, mimicking a cat when she attacked Robotnik's face.

To aid the heroes, Sara would use her strength to strong arm Dr. Robotnik into revealing his schemes, attempt to force Hyper Metal Sonic to release his strangle hold on Sonic, and easily order Robotnik to carry her father and his aid in the Egg Mobile, with the doctor unable to resist. It seems the only times Dr. Robotnik could favorably deal with her was using his guard robots to restrain her.

— Sara trying to convince Sonic out of his stubbornness, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie

Sara has a strong crush on Sonic the Hedgehog, calling him “my Sonic” and caring for him very much. She cares so much, in fact, that she would attack dangerous individuals' intent on harming him. While their past together is unknown, they knew each other on very friendly terms for Sara to use herself as motivation for Sonic to save the Land of the Sky. An antagonized Sonic would later attack Dr. Robotnik in the Robot Generator room when his robots took Sara hostage for the second time.

Sara has, with no hesitation, put herself into action to care and aid Sonic in the film's conflicts, despite operating on a different strength level than the hedgehog. After correctly assuming Robotnik was planning something dangerous for Sonic, she attacked the doctor and made him tell her his whole plan, before hurrying over to the Robot Generator. She disclosed Robotnik's entire scheme to Sonic, feeling guilty she fell for the trick. When Sara was watching Hyper Metal Sonic strangling Sonic, she became worried for him before quickly determining to save Sonic and started attacking Metal Sonic with her might. Being an attentive person, Sara noticed Sonic's spirit was lower than his usual, talkative nature after Metal Sonic’s destruction, and she attempts to cheer him up. When Sonic left to chase after Knuckles, she intimidated Robotnik into following the hedgehog so as to not be left behind.

Dr. Robotnik

No, it wasn't my fault! Metal Robotnik and the Robot Generator going haywire were all apart of Robotnik's evil scheme!

— Sara pleading Sonic to believe her, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie

Sara has an antagonistic relationship with Dr. Robotnik. She is able to recognize the doctor for the villain he is, as well as be aware of his ultimate goal to defeat Sonic and conquer the Land of the Sky, both things she dislikes. She also dislikes being held hostage by Robotnik's guard robots, whom are intent to hold her back from beating up their master. Sara shares an unknown past with the doctor that caused him to be infatuated with her.

SaraScratchesDr.Robotnik

Despite her dislike for Robotnik’s goals and evil intentions, she did remain comfortable enough to play and enjoy video games with him and hop into his mech. Once she got a hint Robotnik was planning something devious after Metal Robotnik was defeated, she demanded he reveal his scheme to her after overpowering him. Sara would remain hostile to the doctor afterwards, demanding the doctor take her home after he released her from her ropes. This hostility briefly went away when she got distracted by the reveal of a nice looking wedding dress, before returning at odds against him when he egotistically revealed his plans of marriage to her.

Princess Sara

Sara briefly appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. In this continuity, she is a kidnapped "princess" who temporarily existed in an alternate version of the Prime Zone as she was being held captive by Dr. Robotnik.[3]

One day, Mobius Prime's history and Zone structures were actively being altered by Chaos Knuckles as he was trying to manipulate reality to his favor. Sonic was plunged into different realities with no sense of self. In one reality, Sonic woke up facing off against Metal Robotnik. Sara had become prisoner of Dr. Robotnik and Sonic had headed off to rescue her. Dr. Robotnik lays out his plans for a forced marriage with her, to which she profusely refuses. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles defeat the Metal Robotnik unit before they are confronted with an armada of Metal Robotniks. Immediately after, reality was changed again, and Sara was erased from the continuity.

Due to a number of the issue's inconsistency depicting Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, its not entirely certain how past events occurred other than the appearances of more Metal Robotniks.
