Charles Campbell is an American voice actor who has done voice work for the English dub of Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie

History

Charles Campbell was employed as ADV Films first in-house ADR audio engineer. He sat behind the mixing board through many ADV classics including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Blue Seed, Battle Angel, Golden Boy and even the live action giant monster classic Gamera: Guardian of the Universe. He moved to Austin in 1998 to open ADV's Monster Island Studios. His directorial and writing debut was in 2000's Lost Universe. He also produced, directed, and engineered hundreds of TV episodes and OVA's including Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water, Getter Robo Armageddon, Samurai X (Trust, Betrayal, Reflection, The Motion Picture), Zone of the Enders, Jing: King of Bandits, Mazinkaiser and New Fist of the North Star.

After directing the dub of Korean "live action" hit No Blood, No Tears in 2004 he transferred back to ADV Studios in Houston. There he directed and produced the critically acclaimed 105 episode Gatchaman dub. In addition to writing and directing, Charlie has been a voice actor in many ADV titles including Neon Genesis Evangelion, Samurai X: Reflection, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, Black Lion, Gatchaman, and The Devil Lady series.

After the original ADV dissolved in 2009, Charlie began to do dubbing work for Funimation. Voicing characters like Gran Torino from My Hero Academia and Admiral Fujitora/Issho from One Piece.

His best known acting roles are Ron Pao in Z.O.E. Dolores,i and as the Narrator and Loag in New Fist of the North Star.
