The navigator is an object that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie. It is wristband device created by Dr. Robotnik that was given to Tails to help locate the Robot Generator.
Description
The navigator is a purple wrist device with a round Robotnik-themed cover on it. Pressing the switch on the side folds out the cover, revealing a small satellite disk, two separate keyboards, and a screen to locate objects or destinations. After being modified by Tails, the navigator could as well locate robots built from the same parts and temporarily interfere with their system.

Welcome to Robotropolis
When Sonic and Tails agreed to head to Robotropolis to stop the Robot Generator, Dr. Robotnik gave Tails the navigator to show them the shortest route.
Sonic Vs Metal Sonic!!
Later, Tails modified the navigator's processor when he noticed it and Hyper Metal Sonic were built from the same parts, allowing him to access Metal's data bank and locate him and Sonic. During Sonic and Metal's climatic battle, Tails used the navigator to temporarily overload Metal. However, when he tried to do it again, the navigator was blown up by Robotnik.
