His medusa has several tendrils hanging from the rim, and he has several shorter tendrils on his face resembling stubbles. Pokey also constantly resides in a bronze walking armor. History

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric
Pokey was born as the son to a female pearl. Over 175 years ago, he met Hokey and the two of them ended up getting married. On their wedding day, Hokey gave Pokey her family heirloom, a Power Glyph, as a gift. Moving to Crater Lake, they found the Radiant Crystal, but because its constant glow made it impossible for them to sleep, they tossed it up the local waterfall. Over the long course of their marriage, Pokey and Hokey would argue with each other over even the smallest things.

Over 175 years after their wedding, Pokey and Hokey met Team Sonic who came looking for the Radiant Crystal and Pokey told them where to find it. Sometime afterwards, Pokey had a huge argument with Hokey about how he was allowed to do what he wanted, which ended with him being sent in the doghouse on Bygone Island. There, Pokey met Team Sonic again where he admitted he missed Pokey and wanted to make her happy again. He therefore requested Team Sonic to find some of the rare shells Hokey liked in Coral Bay so he could make a gift for her. When Team Sonic returned with the shells, Pokey was grateful to the team and decided to give them his Power Glyph as reward, not caring what Hokey would think of it.
Following Lyric's defeat, Pokey and Hokey joined the celebration on Bygone Island where the elderly couple began arguing over which ice cream flavor they should celebrate with.
Personality
Pokey is a grizzled, grumpy and stubborn old man. He hates being told what to do, insisting that, as his own man, he can do whatever he wants, and will even do things that will not sit well with others to prove it. Nevertheless, he does have a caring spot as he wanted to make Hokey happy after one of their fights.
Pokey appears slightly senile, believing Knuckles to be a lobster due to his red fur and being unsure that his heart still works. Because nobody has never really helped him before, Pokey is not entirely sure how to react to help when actually receiving it.
Powers and abilities
Being a jellyfish, Pokey is capable of aquatic respiration, allowing him to breathe underwater. However, he is unable to breathe air.
Equipment
Pokey wears an ancient quadruped robotic carriage with a transparent water tank that he can reside within. With it, Pokey is able to move around on dry land. It appears to be controlled by Pokey's thoughts alone.
Relationships
Hokey

Hokey is Pokey's wife, whom he has been married with for over 175 years. The two of them embodies the concept of an elderly couple and is each other's soul mate. While Pokey shares an everlasting spark with his wife, their many years of being together has caused them to always bicker and argue (either out of irritation or boredom), and they are always poking fun at each other and arguing over who knows best.[1] Pokey especially does not like how Hokey tries to run his life and will do whatever he wants in order to disapprove her. Despite their arguments, Pokey is incapable of staying mad at her for long, admitting after being separated from her for a short time that he missed "that old barnacle," and wanted to make her happy again after their fallout.
