City Top

City Top is one of the multiplayer stages for the Battle mode in Sonic Heroes. When playing through all three Battle stages, City Top is the first stage.

Description

City Top is located in the same area as the first team fight in all stories, which is Grand Metropolis, but it is assumed that it occurs during the night. It takes place on a midair hexagonal platform surrounded by several tall, lit buildings. Futuristic vehicles also fly about.

Overview

The players can collect the Rings and Power Cores that power up instantly to level 3 to the formation character whatever the matching color of the core is. Blue, red, and yellow Power Cores can be found in the Wooden Containers, Steel Containers and Floating Item Boxes respectively; there are two sets for each player to collect. Afterwards, the player can also knock the opposing team's character(s) off of the sides of the stage, preventing the lead character that got knocked off from being used. However, any lost character(s) can be brought back by using the team's Team Blast should they successfully fill the Team Blast Gauge.

The winner in this stage is whichever team that forces the opposing team off the stage first.
