Being based on shrubs, the Am-Bushes resemble floating balls of leaves with black eyes. They are also surrounded by eight gray metal spikes that they use as protection for themselves.
Overview
In Knuckles' Chaotix, Am-Bushes are enemies that only appear in Botanic Base. In gameplay, they float around, shattering leaves. Normally, the player can defeat them with any attack, although they will periodically protrude their metal spikes which can cause damage to the player should they come in contact with them. Surprisingly, Am-Bushes are one of the few Badniks in the game that do not drop Dark Rings upon destruction.
Powers and abilities
Am-Bushes are capable of levitation, as well as being able to protrude metal spikes from their bodies to protect themselves from their foes.
Trivia
The Am-Bush is similar in behavior to the Bubbles from Sonic the Hedgehog 3, as both Badniks float around and periodically extrude defensive spikes.
The Am-Bush's name is a pun on "ambush" and "bush."
