Wilson is a helicopter pilot and a member of the Earth Defense Force. He was the only pilot to extract Sam twice. He is a minor supporting character in Serious Sam 3: BFE.
Biography
Like other characters who appear in Serious Sam 3, little is known about Wilson. At some point in his life, he enlisted in the EDF and became one of the many pilots that the EDF had to offer during the later stages of the Mental War.
Appearances
Serious Sam 3: BFE

Wilson is sent to extract Sam from Luxor. Sam clears the area, thinking that it's Hellfire. After hearing Wilson making a witty remark, Sam is disappointed that it isn't who he was expecting, but he's glad that someone was able to get him out of the war zone.
During their journey back to headquarters, Wilson is informed by HQ that there has been a change of plans, and takes him to the island of Philae instead. He tells Sam that the Time-Lock didn't come online as expected. Wilson drops him off there and flies away as quickly as he can for fear of being shot down by Mental's forces. He later comes to pick Sam up for the second time after Sam powers up the Time-Lock safety switch. He is impressed with how Sam can manage being in such an extreme situation.
Wilson is later seen flying Sam back to headquarters. They both have a short conversation with each other, but not long before a Major Bio-mechanoid suddenly appears from out of the sand. Sam tries to warn him, but Wilson is caught off-topic and fails to notice the rocket heading towards him. The helicopter is hit and Sam is sent flying out of the helicopter, while Wilson has no time left to jump out and dies as the helicopter crashes onto the ground. His corpse can be later seen at the crash site in the helicopter wreckage.
Serious Sam 4
While Wilson does not make an appearance in Serious Sam 4, one of his quotes can be seen on the loading screen, saying that he wanted to join the mission, but he crashed General Brand's hoverboat by accident, which caused him to be left behind at headquarters.[1]
Relationships
Sam Stone
Not much is known about the two, since he only appears a handful of times throughout the campaign. He was reliable for Sam since he helped to extract him twice on his mission. He liked to joke and mess around with Sam as well, such as Sam thought he was Hellfire coming to extract him, stating that he "looked pretty good in heels".
Trivia
- Wilson is one of the few EDF pilots whose body was not mutilated. The same can be said for Garret, Miller, his co-pilot and two EDF soldiers that are also seen in the campaign.
- He appeared to be familiar with dangerous runs, as he discussed them with Sam before he was killed. Ironically, his lack of attention caused him to be killed, something that wouldn't be expected from an experienced pilot.[2]
- He can be selected as a player model in multiplayer in both the original version of Serious Sam 3 and Serious Sam Fusion.
