Paper-Rock is a fictional planet in the Alex Kidd video game series. It is the homeworld of many of Alex Kidd's enemies.

Notable inhabitants
- Janken the Great - Ruler of Planet Paper-Rock and leader of the Janken Army, Janken the Great left Paper-Rock to conquer other worlds, including Planet Aries, home of Alex Kidd and his family. Janken is said to have never lost a game of Janken in his life and can turn people to stone with his magic.
- Ashra - Son of Janken the Great. When his father went off to conquer other planets, Ashra was left in charge of Paper-Rock. He is responsible for the popularity of the Yakyūken Janken game on Paper-Rock. He is also believed to be responsible for kidnapping Alex Kidd and Egle's father, King Thunder.
- Parpalin the Pursuer - Right hand man of Janken, Parpalin is the leader of the Paper-heads in Janken's army. In Miracle World DX he shows an interest in flowers.
- Chokkina the Sly - A high ranking officer in Janken's army, Chokkina is the leader of the Scissor-heads. He seems to possess some telekinetic powers and prefers hot places such as volcanoes.
- Gooseka the Slippery - A high ranking officer in Janken's army, Gooseka is the leader of the Stone-heads. Gooseka appears to have great physical strength and is quick to aggression.
- Great Hermit - an old man who is an expert at Janken. He is in charge of the hermits on Jama Hermits, who will teleport around and harass Alex Kidd in the rocky mountains.
- Queen Tahnya - a human looking desert queen who is good at Janken. If she loses she'll claim she was not ready yet and demand Alex Kidd gives her a rematch, which the player can refuse.
- Pootaroh - a bear who is good at Janken. He is the boss of the Hiho Forest area. Usually lives a quiet tranquil life.
- Jangorilla - A Janken playing Gorilla who runs the various Janken houses around Paper-Rock. Alex Kidd will need to beat him in a game in order to obtain the item from his shop even after paying. Curiously he will call Alex a thief if he beats him even if fairly.
Notable Locations
- Rookietown - the starting town Alex Kidd finds himself in. It's full of Janken houses, cars and toys which will attempt to kill him.
- Hiho Forest - Pootaroh's forest. This forest has many masked psychopaths roaming it.
- Scorpion Desert - A vast desert home to the Pyramid Queen Tahnya guards
- Rock Mountain - a huge mountain home to the Great Hermit and his fellow Jama Hermits.
- Sky Castle - Ashra (and presumably Janken's) home. This huge floating castle in the sky is guarded by toy soldiers and robots that have been brought to life.
Notable Events
The events of Miracle World and Enchanted Castle: Janken the Great leaves the planet to invade Planet Aries, leaving Ashra in charge. Ashra is visited by the ruler of Radaxian, King Thunder who has come to enjoy a vacation. He treats Ashra as a servant.
Meanwhile on Aries, Alex Kidd defeats Janken, Parpalin, Chokkina and Gooseka, rescues Egle and Princess Lora and leaves to find out what happened to his father. After exploring he hears rumours King Thunder has been taken to Paper-Rock and leaves to free him from Ashra, unaware King Thunder invaded Paper-Rock.
Eventually Alex and Ashra face off, only for Alex Kidd to defeat Ashra in Janken and in the following battle. Ashra flees, hiding behind King Thunder. Confused, Alex is glad to see his father is okay, Ashra is told to 'be good from now on' and a peace treaty is signed between the two planets, preventing further invasions with the game stating 'Thereafter, the people of the two planets, Aries and Paper-Rock were always friends'.
