The Egg Adoption Event is the first event of QSMP, that was held on April 3, 2023 and is still happening.
The event introduced players to the Eggs that they would have to take care of by doing Daily Tasks and protecting them from losing their Two Lives. On the first day of the event, players in attendance picked up Tickets that would match English and Spanish-speaking parents, using the Qlobal Translator to help with communication and teamwork.
Overview
On April 3, 2023, an event was announced that required partners to take care of dragon eggs with a partner who spoke the opposite language from theirs.
When this event began, players were told a story about a dragon who resided on the island, asleep until it was woken by the loud noise of the wall being destroyed. They were told that both partners would each be a speaker of the opposite language. Each player was sent to an adoption center in the server where each individual had to get a ticket in order to find their partner, and then go and pick an egg to adopt.
- Each egg has two lives.
- There are daily tasks for each family to complete to keep their eggs alive and happy; the failure to complete these tasks would cause the death or unhappiness of their egg.
- If the player is a single parent, and they have done the tasks with their egg every day of the week, weekends are pardoned.
Some rules have been added since the start.
- Day 16 - Breaking an eggs bed now makes them lose a life.
The family with the happiest egg would be rewarded while those who died would be punished.

Tasks
There are two kinds of tasks each family are required to complete: Lethal tasks (mandatory to keep the eggs alive) and Comfort tasks (to keep the eggs happy).

Trivia
- It is suspected that the Egg Event was supposed to end on the day the Brazilian creators arrived. However due to the attachment to the eggs that both streamers and the community developed, the plan was abandoned - players kept their kids and a new one was added.
