Nero, also stylized as NERO, is one of the characters from pop'n music 19 TUNE STREET.

The figure of a lone warrior who comes from a faraway country was stuck inside my head, by the echo that is filled with pathos in another nation. Did he have too much strength, was he too noble, or rather, was he unable to isolate himself from a troupe that is alienated by his surroundings? I saved up that kind of image by turning him into a single cat.
Nekomata-san, I have a feeling that I've finally did it, all thanks to me unexpectedly creating a cat character.
(By the way, the alpaca warrior I attempted to draw did not meet up with the song that is way too soothing...)
I can't talk about the song that well, but I can say that I've made a slim kitty cat who looks like either an Arabian or Egyptian cat, because I imagined something from Islam or around the West. The flexibility of his body line is the law on making a Nekomata character! In Tunisia, cats who walk on paths are animals that feel like quiet creatures and have small heads. And for the tail! I made it sharp. I considered making his costume inspired by Turkish culture, but I stylized it to be Spanish-styled in the final moment. He is from a town that fell to the end of war...with cordobas, and granadas. I really love the condition of blending different cultures. I wish to visit here someday!

Appearance
Nero is a tall, black anthropomorphic cat with blue eyes and a generic, light gray mustache. His attire is a traditional musketeer-styled apparel, consisting of black pants, boots and a top with a white collar. He is decorated with a golden belt, stylized in a variety of circles, and arm braces which share the same color. Nero wears a fuchsia collar with a round, golden yellow pendant. Nero's prominent feature is his comically large, black hat with a large, fuchsia lining. His weapon of choice is a silver rapier with a golden hilt.
His 2P gives him tan fur, a dark brown mustache, and yellow green eyes with olive irises. Nero's overall attire is a white top and gray pants, while his bracers, boots, and collar are all colored sienna brown. Nero's hat is an azure blue, while the hat section and collar are colored indigo blue.

Etymology
- Nero's dislike of windmills is a reference to Don Quixote, a character in the novel of the same name, who tries to attack windmills thinking they are giants.
